Event Details

Overview:

OpenStack is open source software for building clouds. Created to drive industry standards, end vendor lock-in and speed cloud adoption, OpenStack is a common, open platform for both public and private clouds with the support of over 180 industry leading companies, more than 6,000 individual members and 300,000+ downloads. The open source cloud operating system enables businesses to manage compute, storage and networking resources via a self-service portal and APIs on standard hardware at massive scale.

Join the OpenStack community to learn more about the project, including how to get involved and make use of the technology for your organization. OpenStack community members will help personalize this initiative and provide you the knowledge and resources to fully take part in this movement.

EMEA OpenStack Day 2 is for technical operators, IT managers, and the OpenStack business ecosystem.  We are expecting 300 attendees to gather and discuss, share and collaborate around all things OpenStack. The one-day event will feature an overview of the technology, use cases and new Foundation for all audiences in the morning, followed by both technical and business tracks in the afternoon and an evening reception.  As an attendee you should expect to:

- Learn the latest about OpenStack, including the Foundation, software and use cases

- Have the opportunity to network with global OpenStack community members

- Hear directly from organizations who are implementing OpenStack

Speaking Opportunities:

If you are interested in speaking, please contact emea_speakers@lists.rackspace.com. The deadline for submissions is November 9. A community panel will help select speakers and notify selected speakers by November 23.

Sponsorships:

Rackspace is leading the organization of this community event according to the events policy, but is seeking sponsors to support and be featured at the event. There will be one level of sponsorship available on a first come, first basis. Please email sponsorship@rackspace.co.uk to participate.
